Here is your
My World image for Tuesday.
A sight that could be form anywhere in Ireland, but this just happens to be at the side of the road in Connemara. Turf cut out of the Bog and left to dry in the sun. Early one morning on my way to Kylemore I passed by this turf and knew it would make a good image. So I took a note and kept on driving to get the sunrise over Kylemore lake. On the way back the strong sidelight and clouds in the sky were just perfect and the resulting image is above.
Your black and white shots are always a delight. This one is no exception, awesome pic.

the way you have captured the turf it has an "ancient artifact" look to it...as if it has stood on the plain forever and the clouds add to that imagery. great composition.
ReplyDeleteI can smell it from here!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful shot! Something about the black and white that just comes across so dramatically! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteFull of interest and yes, typically Irish. A beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteCould be anywhere, couldn't be anyone else photograph it in such a spectacular way.
ReplyDeleteLove your monochrome work - well done!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo, one day I hope to visit Ireland.
ReplyDeleteHow neat! And the various layers of clouds you captured - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. The b&w makes it very dramatic. I really love the sky.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to actually see these mounds. Difficult to imagine how long it took to create these bogs.
